Christmases as of late have seemed to arouse a lot of nostalgia (I’m guessing it’s the lack of turkey dinners). Anyhow, recently had the urge to listen to a couple of old favourites from my highschool years by KMFDM. KMFDM has a huge mass of songs that are kinda “meh”, but a surprisingly large collection of amazing songs as well. Youtube quality of course, but have a listen and consider downloading on iTunes or such:

So – Bruno is coming. I haven’t been this excited for a movie since – well – maybe ever. I’ve been following the skits posted on facebook and youtube. If you haven’t considered watching Bruno yet, I encourage you to do so.

It doesn’t seem to be clear what episode this is, so I’m going to call it episode “x” for now.

Some interesting hands for sure:

I’m a pretty conservative thinking person – but this guy needs the boot. The only problem is that I’m not sure what other parties are worthy of taking over. I’d never vote for the NDP or the BQ (or the Greens, LOL), so I guess that leaves the Liberals. The problem, however, is that the Liberals would work with the NDP / BQ, and that’s probably even worse. I guess in an ideal situation, the Conservatives would work with the Liberals, and the NDP and BQ would be largely ignored (as the should be).

It’s amazing to me that people are THAT tilt prone at these stakes. The whale gets absolutely raped, as expected, definitely watch the last hand for a good laugh. Not that we’ve all not tilted at some point or another, though, and perhaps this episode serves as a good reminder to cool off when tilting.

I really can’t get over Juanda laying down top set and being THAT afraid of a flush from Harmon. I mean – she fired off a barely over half pot sized bet. Maybe super high stakes players are “just better” but I can’t imagine laying down top set that easily can be a big part of a winning strategy. If the board was more messy – maybe – but it really wasn’t.
